Two years after the opening of its first café in Granada, Despiertoo once again entrusted SALTO with the design of its second space in the city. The project reinforces the identity of a singular brand: coffee grown on its own farms in Guatemala, brought green to Granada, roasted locally and served in interiors designed to accompany this exceptional journey from origin to cup.

More than a coffee shop, Despiertoo works as a small cultural hub for specialty coffee. Guest producers, leading baristas and curious customers find here a place to share knowledge, discover processes and celebrate a more conscious coffee culture.

The new space is conceived as a quiet refuge within the pace of the city: a discreet, warm and carefully crafted interior where visitors can slow down and experience specialty coffee from a more paused perspective. As in the first café, the relationship between barista and customer is once again one of the central ideas of the project. The experience is organised around a central counter-table equipped with La Marzocco’s Modbar, allowing for an open and approachable service. Technique —exposed, precise and transparent— becomes part of the coffee ritual.

One of the key spatial decisions is the use of a mirror, framed by a boiserie that structures the vertical plane. This gesture expands the perception of the interior, brings reflections of the street inside and adds depth to a compact space.

The material palette combines wood, metal and stone with matte textures and warm lighting. The result is a sober and welcoming atmosphere, where spatial warmth coexists with precise technical resolution. From the outside, the café presents a discreet, almost silent presence, offering a calm counterpoint to the rhythm of the city.

The new Despiertoo continues the dialogue initiated with the first café and reaffirms the brand’s mission: to make the complexity of origin coffee visible through a serene, detailed space, deeply connected to its essence.
